🔎 Visible Characteristics

Since we arrived in December 2022, the 2 meter tall tree has shown barely any growth. It keeps trying valiantly to produce fruit, but none have managed to ripen. It appears resilient yet somehow unhappy. Although there aren’t many tall trees nearby, it still receives only limited sunlight due to its location just two meters from the studio, which casts considerable shade for much of the day.

➕🌱 Our Replanting Plans

We already have two or three other trees of this species (the exact number will become clear once this documentation work is completed 🙂). So far, none of them have succeeded in bringing fruit to full maturity. However, we are confident that with the care and support now being implemented, they will soon thrive. Once we can finally experience the taste and potential uses of the fruit ourselves, we will decide whether we want to plant more. For now, their persistence alone is truly inspiring.

🩺 Health Status – General Condition

Seems emotionally unhappy, but physically intact.

🩺🪲 Health Status – Pests and Diseases

🚨 Care Plan – Immediate Actions

We are planning to support the tree with a mix of compost and fermented plant-based fertilizers to boost leaf and root vitality. Once the dry season ends, we may also apply a mulch layer with green cuttings and nutrient-rich organic matter to improve soil quality and moisture retention.

🔄🧑‍🌾 Care Plan – Regular Tasks

We regularly check the tree’s condition, clear the surroundings from competing vegetation, and maintain soil health with occasional compost additions. Over time, we expect these measures – along with increasing sunlight once he groves out of the shadowed area – to improve its fruiting capacity.
