📘 How to Upload Photos
Adding a main photo to your plant species entry helps identify and illustrate each plant clearly. Since direct photo uploads are not possible in the form, please follow these simple steps:
🪄 Step-by-step Instructions
- Open the Media Upload Page
Go to this link:

(You might need to log in with your volunteer credentials.) - Upload Your Photo
- Use drag & drop or the Select Files button to upload your image.
- Wait until the image has fully uploaded and appears in the list below.
- Copy the File URL
- Click on the image after upload.
- On the right side, you’ll see a field labeled File URL.
- Copy this entire link.
- Paste into the Form
- Go back to the form and paste the link into the field labeled Photo URL.
- Done! Your image will now be connected to the plant entry.
❗ Important Notes
- Only one photo is supported per entry (main photo).
- Use JPG or PNG format and aim for a file size below 1 MB.
- Make sure the photo shows the plant clearly – leaves or fruit are ideal!
💡 Troubleshooting
I don’t see the upload page.
→ Make sure you’re logged in to the website. Ask your coordinator if you need login access.
I copied the wrong link.
→ No problem. Just reopen the image from the Media Library and copy the correct File URL again.
