Katuk (*Sauropus androgynus*) – Dead Wood – Field
🔤 English name: Katuk
🔬 Latin name: Sauropus androgynus
📍 Location
Project: Finca Yuyo
Quarter: south-east
Sixteenth: Dead Wood – Field
Location Details: In the low-lying area along the boundary between the Banana Fields and the Dead Wood Fields, extending to the neighbor’s property line, Katuk has also established itself. During heavy rains, this area acts like a natural drainage channel or streambed. We had cut it back entirely, but now use the abundant fresh regrowth for especially crisp salads. We also make sure it doesn’t grow too tall again.”
